The Lake Powell Pipeline has long been Washington County Water Conservancy District‘s cornerstone project. It outlines plans for a 140-mile long buried pipeline that would bring approximately 86,000 acre-feet of water from the Colorado River at Lake Powell near Page, Arizona to Washington County’s Sand Hollow Reservoir. One acre-foot is the volume of water necessary to fill an area about the size of a football field to a depth of one foot, or about 300,000 gallons…..”
